Pantone Smartphone Detects Radiationand is Waterproof

TOKYO, Japan - Japanese carrier SoftBank introduced its newest
addition to the range of branded phones offered by the company. The
phone is called Pantone 5 107SH and will be the first mobile phone
equipped with a radiation sensor.

The sensor will have limited accuracy of around 20% and it is not
suitable for situations requiring high levels of accuracy of the data.
It is operated by the single button on the front of the phone, which
is used to trigger the app responsible for the radiation detection.

Technically the Pantone 5 107SH is a mid-range smartphone with a
3.7-inch 854 x 480 LCD, a 4-megapixel camera, a 1.4GHz processor, 1seg
TV tuner, waterproofing, and infrared data port. It will be available
in eight colors, with the purple and teal being particularly fetching.
As for software, by default it runs on Android 4.0 with the same Sharp
skin that is available on KDDI's Aquos Phone Series.

The Pantone 5 107SH will be available at the end of July in Japan
